Indivisible

Indivisible is a novel of suspense set in a small mountain town in Colorado. Police Chief Jonah Westfall has his hands full with the growth of the community, a suspected drug lab, and disturbing animal mutilations. As if his own demons aren’t enough to deal with. Jonah is tall, rugged and brooding. The type of man women are drawn to, hoping to heal his clearly evident emotional wounds.
Tia Manning in not one of them. With emotional wounds of her own, Tia just wants to be left alone to run her mothers store and forget about the past that tore her family apart. But small towns aren’t known for privacy, and Tia and Jonah clash like fire and ice every time they meet. Independent and headstrong, Tia refuses to take Jonahs warnings about a possible psychopath seriously, unknowingly putting herself and her friends in the path of danger.
As the animal killings escalate in their depravity, and Jonah and his team get closer to discovering the location and members of the local drug ring, everyone in the small town is put in danger. Suddenly everything begins to unravel and it’s more than Jonah can handle on his own.
Fast-paced and riveting, Indivisible is a psychological thriller. Heitzmann masterfully fills the small mountain town with quirky, likeable characters that draw you in as if you have a stake in what happens. So much so, in fact, I wish there was a planned sequel so I could read more about the secondary characters and find out what happens with them.
I received this book free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group as part of their BloggingForBooks program. I was not required to write a positive review and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
