Transforming Prayer by Daniel Henderson

Transforming Prayer
By Daniel Henderson
Published by Bethany House

In his newest book Transforming Prayer, pastor Daniel Henderson provides the scripture-based insight and teachings that can lead to a worship-based prayer life. With straight forward advise and clear steps to achieving a closer relationship with Christ, Henderson brings readers back to the often forgotten basics: Seek the face of Christ, not the hand, approach prayer time with praise, worship and reverence, do not get stuck in a cycle of listing your needs and wants.

Filled with wisdom and sound prayer direction, Transforming Prayer leaves readers with a solid foundation on which to achieve a new and/or renewed prayer life. While Henderson tends toward lengthy stories of his personally successes (a bit prideful for my taste) and ends each chapter with a personal essay by someone who has been transformed by the prayer methods illuminated within the book, the instruction is not quickly had. That being said; stick with it. The “how” you are looking for eventually comes and is certainly worth the wait.

I received this book free from Bethany House Publishers as part of their book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
