Never Tell, the latest novel in Alafair Burke’s Ellie Hatcher Series, is another winning crime thriller. Filled with suspense and an overwhelming number of clues, twists, and turns, Never Tell will keep you guessing until the last page.

An alleged teenage suicide and grieving parents who insist their daughter was murdered, bring things close to home for Ellie Hatcher. Though the case seems like a slam dunk, Ellie knows she hasn’t been thorough in her investigation or given the case the attention she normally would. Thus begins the race to find the truth and untangle a web of secrets and lies that will have a greater and far reaching impact than anyone could possibly imagine.

Burke’s crime novels unwrap like a gift, layer after layer. There are no intuitive “who-done-it” guesses like in made for TV dramas or amateur detective novellas. Burke’s experience as a former prosecutor lend to her ability to expertly uncover patterns and psychologically profile each character. If you haven’t yet read an Alafair Burke novel,  I would highly suggest you do.
