Betsy's Return By Wanda Brunstetter

Betsy’s Return (Brides of Lehigh Canal, Book 2)
By Wanda Brunstetter

Strong, independent Betsy Nelson returns to her hometown of Walnutport, Pennsylvania when her father, the town preacher, is forced into retirement following a heart attack. Betsy’s world is turned upside down as the church quickly calls for a replacement preacher and she and her ailing father are forced out of the parsonage to make room for the young pastor. A handsome, single young pastor.

A self-proclaimed “old spinster”, Betsy has no intension of ever marrying. A good thing, since Reverend William Covington, having been recently left at the alter has sworn off all women. With any possibility of romance out of the question, the two are well suited to improving the spiritual wellbeing of the town. Their growing attraction to one another a trifling distraction…

A quick, gratifying read, Betsy’s Return is a sweet small town romance. A gentle reminder that God has a special plan for every person in this world; a plan that will unfold in His timing, not ours. A reminder that the best things in life may yet lie ahead.
